Starting his first job at 14 years old at a golf course, Nate learned working hard for your money is very prideful and rewarding and hasn’t left the green industry since! From working at greenhouses, tree and shrub nurseries, Nate took a job landscaping and fell in love with the trade at the age of 18. After going to Dakota County Technical College for horticulture, Nate has worked for commercial, residential and eco friendly landscape companies and by age 20 was a foreman running his own crew. With his knowledge and experience, Nate decided to start his dream of owning his own landscape business, and in 2009 started Elegant Landscapes LLC. Devoting unbelievable hours to his customers and business, Elegant Landscapes has thrived into the business that serves you today!  In his free time Nate enjoys hunting and fishing and spending time with family and friends.  He is also a father to one beautiful daughter and two filthy mutts.

Barry is an Army combat veteran having served in Iraq in 2003. He got out of the Army at the end of 2004 and moved from Ft. Stewart, Ga. to Hastings, Mn.  After working 5 years in finance at the Minneapolis VAMC, he left his job to find a career that he would enjoy and that would give him more time with his kids. The following summer, he began working on a tree farm and fell in love with horticulture and landscaping. The following fall, he started school at Dakota County Technical College where he is currently finishing his A.A.S. in Landscape Horticulture. He got his first landscaping job here with Elegant Landscapes in 2012 and has been learning and loving the job since.
